Deep Sea Sand Art - Black Metal Round Frames 7" The double-strength glass is framed with a quality black anodized brushed metal frame. The black sand is heavier than the white sand so the two will never mix, some of the sands are transparent and some opaque giving the pictures a cool 3D effect. Sand Pictures may take from minutes to several hours to finish a magical sandscape, tiny air bubbles hold up the sand creating ever-changing natural scenes with every turn.

My son received this as a graduation gift 3 years ago. It found a home in our kitchen and I have been BLOWN AWAY by watching it create endless intricate geological art. You really do get the cool layering effects seen on the website… and even better ones. It honestly is a great anxiety balm. I am drawn to it at breakfast often instead of my phone. Watching the slow interaction of sand, bubbles, and gravity provides a dopamine hit that calms rather than hooks you like phone stuff. I love this thing.
I found this in Furnace Creek, Death Valley and knew I had to have it. My grandma had one when I was little and I would watch it for hours. She also introduced me to Death Valley. My Exotic Sands is gorgeous and the frame is perfect. Thank you for making such a wonderful treasure.
My family had one of these in the 90's. It broke during a move across country and I've always wanted another one. 7 years ago I had to figure out how to google sand picture but luckily found Exotic Sands and remembered that name from when my family had theirs. It has sat in my wish list for years, I was finally able to justify the purchase and it lives as a center piece on my desk. Everyone comments on it and loves to flip and watch it. I flip it on my own 4-5 times a day. I will probably eventually buy another for my home. It shipped very quickly and was packed well. I did not have to contact them with any questions but if they respond as quickly as they ship I am sure they are very helpful
